The President of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, thanked this Friday the support of the Latin American military to the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Bolivarian nation, in the midst of the multiform aggression that the United States executes against the country, with an important military deployment in the Caribbean Sea under the pretext of combating drug trafficking.

Venezuela Weighs ‘State of External Commotion’ to Face U.S. Threats
As part of the commemoration of the 20th anniversary of the Strategic Operational Command of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (CEOFANB), the head of state revealed that he has received letters of support from uniformed personnel from different parts of South America, in which they ratify that “if they touch Venezuela, they touch us all.”
In this sense, the commander-in-chief of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) said that, if an aggression materializes, “then it will be time to refound the United Liberation Army,” President Maduro emphasized. And he added: “A greeting to the military of the Patria Grande, all ready and ready. Wait for your fate, because the historic moment of reunification will come.”
On the other hand, President Maduro affirmed that the Organic Law of Security of the Nation develops the constitutional pretext that “the integral defense of the nation is the co-responsibility of all society, of all institutions, of all the people. In the face of a threat, small, medium, large, regional or national, it is the obligation of any person, invested or not with authority, to protect the homeland against an aggressor, against a threat.”
In this sense, he stressed that the Decree of External Commotion, which is ready, follows the process of legal and social consultation. In this regard, he pointed out: “as a constitutional instrument I have it in my hand in case the homeland is militarily attacked, which we hope, with God’s favor, that it does not happen.”
This measure seeks to provide the Venezuelan State with legal tools to defend its sovereignty in the face of imperial threats and possible military actions by Washington.
During the day, the head of state also praised the transcendental work of the CEOFANB, created two decades ago under the strategic vision of Commander Hugo Chávez. He stressed that this institution is the structure that unites the command and the capacity for action to guarantee the security of the nation.
“Today, 20 years after the foundational and refoundational step of the creation of the CEOFANB, everything planned has been developed,” he said, recalling the profound historical vision that characterized the leader of the Bolivarian Revolution.
The celebration of the twentieth anniversary of the military entity endorses the civic-military unity and the strength of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces as a fundamental pillar of Venezuela’s sovereignty and peace
